What are your hours of operation?

Our office is available to schedule your request From 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday-Saturday.  Our Vans run 24/7.  If you have after hour needs someone will be available to return your call.

What is your service area?
Our primary service area is Southeastern Michigan. We have no geographical borders. Long distance transportation is available upon request.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Master Card, Visa & Discover. We will also accept auto accident and workman’s Compensation claims with advanced notice and verification.
Do you accept insurance or Medicaid/Medicare?
We are not able to accept new Medicaid transportation clients.  Medicare does not pay for non-emergency medical transportation. We will NOT bill Medicare or private health insurance. Please contact our office for details. We will work with your Workman’s Compensation & Auto Accident insurance companies with advanced notice. We also accept cash, checks, or credit cards for your convenience.  
Is Loving Touch Transportation, LLC licensed and insured?

The Michigan Department of Transportation requires that all Wheelchair van companies have a DOT inspection of each vehicle annually, and sets minimum requirements for insurance. Loving Touch Transportation LLC has a current “Limousine Authority” from the State of Michigan, and meets all of the required guidelines for insurance and safety equipment.

How much notice do I need to give for transportation?
We ask that you give us 24 to 48 hours notice, but same day service is available when the schedule permits.
Can I ride along with the patient?
Of course, you can ride along at no additional charge. We encourage a family member or aide to ride with patients to give them a sense of security. We will need advanced notice if more than one rider will need to travel with the client.
Do I need to provide my own wheelchair for my transport?
No. All of our vans are equipped with a spare wheelchair that can be used to transport you at no extra charge.
My house has stairs. Will you still be able to transport me?
If your residence has stairs please call our office with a description and the number of stairs. Our trained staff will make an assessment and advise you of our ability to handle your particular situation. Additional charges may apply.
Do I need to wait at the curb for you to pick me up?

No! Our Transportation Companions will come into your residence, or into you room at your apartment, nursing home, or hospital and assist you to our vehicle. We will then escort you or your loved one into their appointment and make sure they are checked in at the destination. A return trip will be scheduled for you so that you will not have an extended wait time for your return trip.

I need oxygen for my transport. Can you provide oxygen for the trip?
We do not supply or regulate oxygen. If your chair has a holder for oxygen and you or your facility will be providing the tank, yes, we will transport you. Our drivers are trained to notify caregivers or facility staff if a client that is being sent out does not have a full tank.
Do I need to be in a wheelchair to use your service?

No. We help people with all levels of mobility. If you have a senior that just needs a ride to an appointment and family is not available, we can help that person. If you are a regular person in need of airport transportation, we can help with that also. We have a solution for almost any transportation need you may have.

If I am in an extra large chair will you be able to transport me?

Yes. When you schedule your transport make our staff aware of the size of your chair and we will send a vehicle that will be able to handle most extra wide chairs. If the wheel width of your chair is 36 inches or less we will be able to transport you. We also have vehicles that carry 24″ wide seat wheelchairs that we could transport you in if your chair is larger than 36 inches wide (wheel to wheel).
